Lisa joined DGI in 1998 shortly after the firm was founded to help shore up the client service team.

Before she came to DGI, Lisa worked as an assistant controller for 12 years at the law firm of Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly.

At DGI, Lisa works with clients in a variety of capacities, including client communications, new account coordination and institutional client service. She is involved in the bond and equity trading process, working with the portfolio managers to create, process and confirm the execution of trades.

“Lisa is completely dialed in on her job,” says DGI CFO Rick Martin. “She gets a lot of personal satisfaction making sure the clients are taken care of.”

“Lisa gets things done,” adds DGI Portfolio Manager Rob Nicoski. “You can have a high degree of confidence when you give her a project to do that she’s going to get it done well and on time. You never have to worry about it. She’s a consummate team player.”

“When you have a big project to do,” says DGI Director of Client Relationships Sheri Lietzke, “Lisa is someone you want on your team.”

Her coworkers give Lisa credit for taking the initiative to push for changes whenever she sees a need. “She is willing to speak her mind, she says what she means, and she’s not one who minds rocking the boat,” says analyst Nicholas Hansen.

“Lisa was the impetus for two critical elements of the DGI culture, adds Robert Buss, DGI Director of Marketing. “She convinced management to start a sabbatical program, and, perhaps more importantly, she got us to change the dress code.”

Dogs and day trips

Outside of work, Lisa volunteers every other Saturday at the Northwoods Humane Society, caring for dogs that are up for adoption. She’s also supports Canine Companions for Independence Training program that trains dogs as helper pets for disabled individuals. “We adopted a 2 year old dog from CCI,” she explains. Part yellow lab, part golden retriever, her dog didn’t pass the rigors of the training program, but serves as a lovable family pet.

“If reincarnation exists,” says Robert Buss, “there’s a long list of people who would like to come back as one of Lisa’s dogs.”

Lisa and her fiancée enjoy taking day trips along the St. Croix River on his Harley, camping and enjoying the outdoors. She has also enjoyed trips to Hawaii, the Dominican Republic, Cabo San Lucas, and an Alaskan cruise. She and her fiancée are also planning a trip on his Harley through the Black Hills to Sturgis, SD.
