Rick harbors an athlete’s desire to find an edge and maximize human potential. As a college pitcher who later became a certified pitching coach, Rick is committed to preparation and continuous improvement. His meticulousness enables athletes — and investment firms — to perform at the highest level.
Rick left a successful and fast-rising career at U.S. Bank to join DGI in 2008. He was attracted by the firm’s focus and culture. First as CFO and now as CEO, Rick is equal parts destroyer and builder. He’s not afraid to stomp on barriers holding DGI back or put a shoulder into good ideas.
Rick shines when he’s coaching and developing people. He cultivates a staff who shares his enthusiasm for client service and fosters a culture of collaboration. Add a penchant for experimentation and a respect for high standards and you’ll understand what makes Rick tick.
Though he grew up playing sports, Rick isn’t one to watch many games. He’d rather tune into the pregame show or study athletes in the off-season. That’s when the critical groundwork occurs. To Rick, succeeding doesn’t come from competing. It’s about rigorous preparation and forging new paths — all while keeping a cool head.
